We love vintage Margaretha Ley for Escada pieces and this beautiful 3 piece bright yellow and black skirt suit is a good example of the quality and unique style elements found in her pieces! We also really love suits because they offer so many options that include wearing the pieces as originally designed or breaking up the different elements so you have fun separates to wear with other things in your closet! This suit includes a yellow longline blazer jacket, a yellow silk top, and a black pencil skirt. The yellow wool jacket has a pointed black collar and black wool button hole openings. The buttons skip every other button hole, which adds such a unique detail and the buttons are iridescent glass globes in gold tone monogrammed casings. There is an extra button attached to the label and the cuffs of the sleeves have the same faux button detail. The front of the blazer has flap pockets (sewn closed) and the shoulders are structured with shoulder pads. The jacket is fully lined in monogrammed rayon fabric. The top is yellow silk with black trim and it has a round neck short sleeves. There are very thin shoulder pads sewn in to the top a bit of structure and there is a keyhole opening at the back of the collar secured by two buttons. The black wool pencil skirt has a small kick pleat slit near the hem, a narrow waistband with a back double button closure and a metal zipper down the center back seam. The skirt is fully lined in black rayon. This beautiful suit was made in Germany of 100% Wool and 100% Silk. The jacket is labeled 34, top 36, and skirt 38, but we estimate this outfit would best fit a modern size 6.
