Geoffrey Beene forest green suit, c.1980s, with the seemingly simple, but exquisitely detailed, shaping for which the designer was known. The suit is composed of a wool crepe and features a single-breasted, round-neck jacket with welted seaming and a placket concealing the buttons; slit pockets are hidden in the front welting. The shaped jacket extends to the bottom of the hips and the short, slim skirt has a back zipper. Approximate contemporary size 2-4.
