About the Item
With its oversized novelty buttons, Eisenhower pleat jacket and sinewy pencil skirt, this suit is the epitome of the post-war working gal’s uniform. Beautiful vintage details like deep ease-pleated linings, pinked edges and extra deep hems (five inches!!) remind one of how well off-the-rack clothing used to be made.
Gray micro-herringbone skirt suit featuring cropped bracelet sleeve jacket with rounded point lapel collar, Eisenhower back pleats and notched waist; 2 oversized button front closure. Pencil skirt features plain 1” waistband and front box pleats at hips; left metal zipper closure with hooks and eyes at interior and waist tabs. Both pieces lined with heavyweight nylon gabardine.
