Junya Watanabe ensemble comprising a deconstructed peplum jacket and asymmetric skirt in tonal olive green Ripstop and cotton, from the Fall-Winter 2006 collection. Constructed primarily from repurposed military surplus garments, the fitted jacket features curved panel seams with exposed topstitching, a central front zipper, and exaggerated layered cuffs assembled from cut and reconfigured cargo elements. The rear peplum is composed of inverted and distressed military trouser waistbands, intentionally frayed and fastened with original hardware, referencing both 19th-century bustle silhouettes and contemporary notions of reconstruction. The skirt is similarly collaged from multiple jacket panels with raw hems, angled cargo pockets, and irregular shaping.
