About the Item
This two-piece black button-down front ensemble is quite possibly an Early Norell, or an early Valentino. Within the group of items that was brought with this ensemble, there were quite a few Norells and Valentino items which had labels. This set didn't, but with the tags sewn inside points to Norell, and also this ensemble has Norell's signature 3 inches hem allowance to lengthen.
The top has seven covered buttons on front and measures 27 inches, back is 29 inches, sleeve is 24 1/2 inches, circumference is 8 inches. The top has two hidden small snaps at the neck front. The front band width is 1 1/2 inches, neck-to-shoulder is 5 1/4 inches
The skirt waist is 24 inches --29 inches, waistband is 1 1/4 inches wide. The length is 44 1/2 inches with 3 inches allowance to lengthen, a Norell signature. The circumference is 32 inches.
