About the Item

This truly majestic 1960's champagne silk dress and matching coat set, accented by blonde mink trims, is the perfect set for that special occasion. The elegant neckline is set off by a stand-away mandarin style collar, which is decorated with a matching silk covered button along the left hand side, which draws the eye to the pointed edge of the cross over design of the collar. The medium width shoulders set off the sleeveless cut of the dress. The slight A line cut of the dress is accented by tailored Princess seams which run from either side of the bust-line to the hemline. The dress is fully lined in soft matching champagne cotton. The matching coat, boasts a bateau cut neckline, which allows for the stand-away collar of the dress to be pulled through. The simple shoulder line sets off the bracelet length inset sleeves, which are edged with blonde mink cuffs. The tailored cut of the coat is accented by Princess seams that run along either side of the front of the coat to the hemline, which frame the simple matching silk covered button and loop fastening below the neckline. The elegant silhouette of the coat sits perfectly above the dress, completing this ensemble in an iconic 1960's silhouette. The coat is lined in ivory nylon. There is a very small and faint age mark along the front of the dress below where the waistline would be. This is faint and only noticeable upon closer inspection. Very faint and slim areas of yellowing to the silk along the edges of the armholes. Very faint yellowing to the lining of the coat along the armpits. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress and coat are being worn and only noticeable upon very close inspection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report.
