This magnificent Chanel three piece suit, made in a deep navy blue silk with cream silk pipping accents, is the perfect iconic piece for your vintage wardrobe. The elegant wide waistband of the trousers, boasts a central V shaped back vent and delicate sailor style side button fastenings, set behind the two front pockets, which are edged with cream silk pipping. The timeless wide leg cut, is accented by double tailored darts that run from beneath the waistband. Finished with turn ups, edged with cream silk pipping. The rounded neckline of the blouse is framed by a Peter Pan collar edged with white silk pipping. The sleeveless cut accents the racer back design of the blouse. The tailored bodice is accented by two front pockets, with silk piped edges and turned down collars, embellished with decorative four leaf clover buttons. The central four leaf clover button fastenings are framed by a border of cream silk pipping to either side, drawing the eye to the wonderful straight cut of the blouse. The open cut of the jacket is accented by cream silk pipping along each edge and hemline, setting off the soft rounded front lapels. The elegant shoulder line is accented by internally sewn shoulder pads, that accent the short length sleeves, set off by turned up cuffs edged with cream silk pipping. The simple box cut of the jacket showcases two front pockets, with turned down collars and four leaf clover button fastenings. Condition: In near perfect vintage condition. The top button on the right hand side of the trousers, does not match the other four leaf clover buttons. Very light discolouration to the Chanel label on the internal side of the blouse, and light colour variation to the cream silk pipping along the back of the internal neckline. A small pin sized age mark along the cream silk pipped hemline along the left hand side of the jacket. These minor details are in no way apparent when the suit is being worn and only noticeable upon close inspection.
