About the Item
Vintage Maggy Rouff Couture pin stripe wool skirt suit in military blue and grey, from the early 1950s. Single breasted jacket closes with a single button at the waist, notched lapels, angled hip flap working pockets, darted bust, fitted waist and padded shoulders. The jacket is lined in cream silk. The matching skirt has a fitted gros grain waist band, hip darts, front angled flange pockets, inverted pleats form front center panel, the back has hip darts with a center back seam and center hem kick pleat. The skirt is unlined. The skirt closes at the waist side with double hooks and a metal zipper. In very good vintage condition with only some light discolouration to the lining. Two darts have been let out in the jacket front lining only. Fits like a size 4.
In excellent wearable condition. All our clothing is dry cleaned and inspected for condition and is ready to wear. Any condition issues will be noted. For visual comparison our mannequin is a size 4.
