About the Item
A striking and rare two-piece suit from Vivienne Westwood’s Anglomania line, dating to Autumn/Winter 1998. This sculptural ensemble features a sharply tailored asymmetrical jacket and matching skirt in a beautifully textured mid-weight denim blend of 65% cotton and 35% true hemp. Both pieces are adorned with raw-edge fringing that showcases Westwood’s signature punk-meets-tailoring aesthetic.
The jacket has dramatic lapels, fitted darts, and four silver-tone buttons engraved with Westwood branding. The sleeves feature slits and extended cuffs with frayed edges, adding volume and movement. The skirt is high-waisted with a flattering A-line silhouette, matching the jacket’s frayed trim and deconstructed styling.
A fantastic example of late 1990s Westwood tailoring, blending historical references with rebellious charm. Made in Italy.
