About the Item
Fur-trimmed and decorated cardigans were all the rage during the 1950s and '60s. This prime example is of black cashmere featuring a bicolor mink collar in white and gray vertical stripes.
the best of these fur-trimmed sweaters had detachable collars that connected and disconnected by long tapes with small snaps, allowing the sweater to be cleaned when necessary. The sweaters also usually featured fancy clasps at the waistband and sometimes rhinestones or pearls at the wrists, as in this one, and were sometimes lined with this lace and sheer fabric, especially those produced by the respected manufacturer Dalton, as here.
In very good condition, minor pills to sweater, fur excellent.
