Spectacular American hexagon patchwork circa 1860. Entirely hand-sewn from printed cotton and Indian hexagons, all dated between 1810 and 1850. Design with large central star playing on the polychromy and geometry of triangles and hexagons in a happy chromatic polychromy. No hem or lining, revealing remarkable hand-stitching. Clean patchwork with no holes or major defects. Good colour and condition. The edges are very slightly torn and need to be hemmed.
