For you bag snobs who are also jewel snobs, here is the ultimate bag. edidi by Wendy Lau is a fabulous collection of jeweled bags (but not in the Judith Leiber old lady way!) handmade by master craftsmen and specialized technicians in New York using US patented production procedures. Every bag has an average of 2,000 diamond shaped crystals in addition to handwired semi-precious stones. What a great way to bling out for special occasions!. Wendy Lau’s exquisite line of bejeweled bags has been appearing everywhere: from A-list Hollywood stars to hipster young models, it’s obvious everyone has fallen in love with these unusual and charming bags. One of our absolute favorites is this Crystal Mesh Clutch. The delicate design of crystals on silver-plated mesh is reminisicent of vintage jewelry, but it avoids being too kitschy and overdone with the modern box shape. Each sparkling edidi bag is painstakingly handcrafted in New York and should be treated as a piece of jewelry. This extraordinary jewel of a bag is available at Browns London for 2,550 pounds. At its best, a handbag is functional and stylish. For designer Wendy Lau, it's also a work of art. Each of her purses for Edidi is handmade. From crystals and semiprecious stones such as jade, garnet and aquamarine spring forth color, texture and pattern. About 2,000 diamond-shaped Swarovski crystals, each glued by hand, adorn each bag. The semiprecious stones are wired. The bags are plated in 24-karat gold or platinum. Natural vegetable or fruit dyes bring color to the raw-silk lining imported from France. Such attention to detail doesn't roll off the production line quickly. A bag takes about 10 days from start to finish and goes through 12 hand-worked procedures by master craftsmen and specialized technicians. Width: 22 cm Heigth: 6 cm
