About the Item
This vintage minaudière or small make up compact clutch was made by Wadsworth, most likely in the 50s. Coined "Pandora" it's made from gold metal, and features a black jet bead design on the top lid, and two compartments: one with a lipstick holder and plastic comb and the other with a mirror and powder pad. It also comes with its original black velvet sling holder with tassel and cinch ring, which includes a small pocket for stowing the bag.
A similarly styled Wadsworth piece, once owned by Marilyn Monroe, was auctioned for upwards of two hundred thousand dollars back in 2016!
The metal clutch measures appx 3.5in L x 2.2in D and the pouch measures 15in L (including tassel).
Stamped WADSWORTH on the metal clutch and powder pad. In very good condition given its age, we note some scratching here and there, most notable to the interior.
