About the Item
A black wool felt clutch is appliqued on the front side with a cheerful yellow checker taxi cab carrying two passengers. It is surrounded by embroidered names of chic retail stores in New York City, vacation destinations, race tracks etc. from the 1940's. The license plate on the cab is 6-30-41. On the other side of the bag is a musical scale surrounded by embroidered names of NYC night clubs and restaurants popular in the 1940's. The bag has a zip top and side gussets that allow you to carry all of your necessities. It is in excellent condition and a true one of a kind collector piece.
