Gina Lollobrigida. 57 Chevys. Boomerang coffee tables. There was a time in the 50s when round was square and points meant progress. An icon of mid-century style, this classic geometric handbag not only has the shape that toasted the times, but a Modernist pointed clasp like a pair of tailfins. Gloss mahogany alligator handbag with self-covered top frame and single covered top handle; oiled brass corner points, Modernist grooved clasp and bottom feet. Interior zippered side pocket with slash pocket below on one side; push latch closure. Some scales feature gentle hornback points for extra texture and interest.
