It's a Schaak attack! A fabulous Martin Van Schaak royal blue lizard skin top handle handbag with gold 'braided' decoration is on the prowl just waiting to add a dash of vintage glamour to your wardrobe. Mr. Van Schaak's handbag designs are truly the epitome of 'exclusive' and were carried and collected by stylish (and wealthy) women from coast to coast including Hollywood royalty and first ladies. He sold by appointment only in his New York apartment and would travel to see his clients in other parts of the country. He often referred to his bags as 'fantasies' and used the finest materials including jewelry enhancers to create a unique look for each design ... and customer. This bag sports a double top handle and essentially offers three compartments including two side faille lined pockets and an interior leather lined compartment with a gold tone push lock closure. The gold jewelry style braided decoration accents both sides and is the perfect foil for the royal blue shade. CONDITION The handbag is in beautiful condition though there is some wear to the skin primarily at the corners as shown in photographs 13 and 14. There is also a surface split in the 'scales' of the lizard skin at the front of one handle as shown in photograph 15. This does not affect the integrity or use of the handle as it is solely on the surface. The issues mentioned appear to be from storage rather than actual use. MEASUREMENTS The body of the handbag measures 9.5" wide x 7" tall x 4.25" deep and should be large enough for most tech devices. The double handles measure 17" from end to end providing a 6.5" drop.
