Abraham Rattner a vécu à Paris de 1920 à 1940, a connu et étudié les œuvres de Claude Monet. Il est connu pour ses œuvres surréalistes qui se rapprochent davantage des travaux de Picasso et de George Rouault. Ses œuvres se trouvent à l'Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, New York ; à l'Art Institute of Chicago ; au Baltimore Museum of Art ; au Detroit Institute of Arts ; au Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts, Montgomery, Alabama ; à la Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia Museum of Art ; à la Phillips Collection, Washington, D.Art.C. ; Wadsworth Atheneum, Hartford, Connecticut ; Whitney Museum of American Art, New York City ; Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art, Gainesville, Florida et le Leepa-Rattner Museum of Art sur le campus du St. Petersburg College à Tarpon Springs, Florida.
