Français, 1936-2022
Peintre né en 1936 à Paris , Raya Russ vit en provence , fils d'une émigrée russe et d'un aristocrate français catholique .
Par amour pour sa mére ainsi que pour la culture sémite et slave dans laquelle il
baigna dans son enfance il a adopté le nom et le prénom de sa mére.
Son approche de la peinture l'associe tout naturellement à l'école juive , aussi bien
par les thémes que par la force de l'onorisme.
Il est considéré comme l'un des héritiers de Marc Chagall.à
