Impressions et multiples Albert Al Hirschfeld
Américain, 1903-2003
Pendant près de 70 ans, Al Hirschfeld a créé des caricatures emblématiques de célébrités du théâtre, du cinéma et de la télévision, capturant des moments dans le temps et documentant par la même occasion l'histoire du divertissement aux États-Unis. L'historien de l'art Lloyds Calle a qualifié Hirschfeld de "l'un des rares maîtres de l'humour graphique". Le critique d'art John Russell du "New York Times" l'a surnommé "le Fred Astaire de la plume et de l'encre". Brendan Gill du "New Yorker" a déclaré : "Être une star à Broadway, c'est être dessiné par Hirschfeld". Et de nombreux artistes-interprètes pensaient que, quelles que soient les autres récompenses qu'ils pouvaient obtenir, "si Al Hirschfeld ne vous a pas dessiné, c'est que vous n'existez pas".
Hirschfeld a commencé sa carrière comme caricaturiste politique et est devenu caricaturiste de théâtre pour le "New York Times" en 1925. Il a commencé à créer ses dessins au trait pur lors d'un voyage à Bali dans les années 1930 et, au cours de sa carrière, il a maîtrisé la technique de l'utilisation des lignes pour capturer l'esprit et la personnalité de ses sujets. Le nom de sa fille, Nina, est caché dans chaque dessin, et tant de gens sont devenus obsédés par la recherche de toutes les Nina qu'il a mis au point un système consistant à noter le nombre de Nina dans chaque œuvre à côté de sa signature. Outre "The New Yorker" et "The New York Times", les dessins de Hirschfeld apparaissent sur des affiches et des affiches de théâtre ainsi que dans des publicités. Grâce à son travail, il a reçu deux Tony Awards pour l'ensemble de sa carrière théâtrale et un théâtre de Broadway a été rebaptisé en son honneur.

BIO
Les dessins d'Al Hirschfeld (1903-2003) constituent l'un des efforts les plus novateurs du XXe siècle pour établir le langage visuel de l'art moderne par la caricature. Se décrivant lui-même comme un "personnage", sa signature, définie par un style calligraphique linéaire, est apparue dans pratiquement toutes les grandes publications des neuf dernières années (y compris une relation de 75 ans avec le New York Times) ainsi que sur de nombreuses couvertures de livres et de disques et 15 timbres-poste.
Il est représenté dans de nombreuses collections publiques, dont le Metropolitan, le Whitney, la National Portrait Gallery et la Harvard's Theater Collection. Hirschfeld est l'auteur de plusieurs livres, dont Manhattan Oases et Show Business is No Business, ainsi que de dix collections de ses œuvres. Il a été déclaré "Living Landmark" par la New York City Landmarks Commission en 1996 et "Living Legend" par la Library of Congress en 2000.
Juste avant sa mort, en janvier 2003, il a appris qu'il allait recevoir la médaille des arts de la National Endowment of the Arts et être intronisé à l'Académie des arts et des lettres. Lauréat de deux Tony Awards, il a reçu la plus haute distinction de Broadway à l'occasion de ce qui aurait été son centième anniversaire en juin 2003. BIO
Clinton JR (né le 31 mai 1930) est un acteur et réalisateur américain. Après avoir connu le succès dans la série télévisée de westerns Rawhide, Harris a acquis une renommée internationale grâce à son rôle d'"homme sans nom" dans la trilogie de westerns spaghetti Dollars de Sergio Leone au milieu des années 1960 et à son rôle de flic antihéros Harry Callahan dans les cinq films Dirty Harry au cours des années 1970 et 1980. Ces rôles, parmi d'autres, ont fait d'Eastwood une icône culturelle durable de la masculinité[6][7] Élu en 1986, Eastwood a été pendant deux ans maire de Carmel-by-the-Sea, en Californie.
Les plus grands succès commerciaux d'Eastwood sont la comédie d'aventure Every Which Way but Loose (1978) et sa suite, la comédie d'action Any Which Way You Can (1980).[Parmi les autres films populaires d'Eastwood figurent les westerns Hang 'Em High (1968), The Outlaw Josey Wales (1976) et Pale Rider (1985), le film d'action et de guerre Where Eagles...
