An impressive synthetic ruby and sapphire, 0.48 carat zircon and 0.10 carat diamond, 14 karat gold dress ring; part of our vintage antique jewelry collections.
This fine and impressive vintage multi-gemstone ring has been crafted in 14k yellow gold with a 14k white gold setting.
The substantial rectangular frame has a pierced decorated, floriated scrolling design.
The ring is ornamented with three feature collet set gemstones; A synthetic* ruby, a synthetic sapphire and a 0.45ct green zircon.
Eight pavé set Dutch cut diamonds and one collet set Old European round cut diamond embellish the applied 14k white gold millegrain decorated scrolling settings.
The elevated and flared, pierced decorated scrolling ring shoulders integrate with the main setting and join the plain shank at a beaded cuff design.
The ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the 14k gold fineness mark ( 585 ).
This impressive vintage multi-gemstone cocktail ring is supplied with three independent diamond grading report cards.

*NOTE: Contrary to what many people may think, the word 'synthetic' does not mean fake when it comes to gemstones. In order for a material to be called 'synthetic' it must have a natural counterpart. A synthetic ruby or sapphire will have the same chemical composition as a natural ruby or sapphire and therefore have an almost identical appearance to the naked eye.
The first ruby formed by melting two smaller rubies together was in 1817, and the first microscopic crystals created from alumina in a laboratory in 1837.
It was common practice to set and enhance fine quality antique jewelry with vibrant and colorful synthetic stones.
Condition
This impressive vintage cocktail ring is fine quality set with a green zircon, a synthetic sapphire and ruby, and very well color matched, very high color graded old cut diamonds.
The ring is an excellent gauge of gold and is in excellent condition, with a clear hallmark to the interior of the shank.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of gemstone jewelry/estate jewelry.
