This sculptural Italian pendant lamp from the 1960s is designed in the style of Sergio Mazza and reflects the refined industrial elegance associated with his work. The design is strongly layered, built around the contrast between brushed metal, black metal and glass, which gives the lamp depth and a clear architectural presence.
The pendant is composed of a ribbed glass upper diffuser combined with a softly frosted lower glass dome. When lit, the ribbed glass creates a warm, textured glow, while the lower section diffuses the light evenly. These glass elements are framed by brushed metal rings, interrupted by a black metal band that adds a graphic, almost technical accent to the composition.
Small metal pins secure the glass components and underline the constructional clarity of the lamp. The suspension consists of a black cylindrical ceiling element, a brass ring detail and a twisted cable, adding another material layer without overpowering the design.
Both the glass and metal components have been carefully cleaned, and the metal parts lightly polished, while preserving their original finish and character.
A well-balanced pendant with a restrained industrial language, suitable for both contemporary and mid-century interiors.
