An exquisite Italian table mirror of remarkable refinement, executed in finely cast and hand-finished brass, and attributable by style and craftsmanship to an Italian noble commission of the late 19th to early 20th century, likely within the late Liberty / Belle Époque tradition.
The mirror is defined by its asymmetrical, organic silhouette, framed by an elaborate openwork brass border enriched with scrolling foliage, floral motifs, and pierced cartouches. The sinuous lines and vegetal ornamentation reflect the lingering influence of Art Nouveau aesthetics, interpreted here with a distinctly Italian sensibility—more sculptural and architectural than its French counterparts.
The brass surface displays a deep, warm patina developed naturally over time, enhancing the relief of the decoration and attesting to the quality of the original casting.
