This large ceramic bowl, designed by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen
Sons in the 1960s, is a stunning example of Danish mid-century stoneware. Featuring a beautifully stylized bird motif in relief on the side, the bowl is finished in a rich, earthy glaze that highlights the intricate detailing and design of Starck’s work.
Both decorative and functional, the bowl’s sculptural form and natural tones make it a striking centerpiece or collectible art object. In excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks, and marked on the base with the Michael Andersen and Marianne Starck maker mark, and an original sticker on the side.
