The Luxembourg Chair is a contemporary reinterpretation of the iconic chairs and armchairs from the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, originally designed in 1923. Commissioned by Fermob in 2004, Frédéric Sofia preserved the classic elegance of French design while combining it with the lightweight durability of modern aluminum. The result is a chair that seamlessly blends timeless aesthetics, ergonomic comfort, and functional versatility for both outdoor and indoor spaces.
The secret to its comfort lies in the curved aluminum slats: the subtle flexibility of the seat and backrest naturally follows the body’s contours, providing support and relaxation even during long seating periods. The tubular aluminum frame offers both lightness and stability, while the silent feet protect delicate floors. Perfect for dining tables or outdoor lounge areas, the Luxembourg Chair embodies the enduring style of Parisian garden furniture.
