An Italian pedestal from the 1970s, sculpted from creamy travertine with warm ochre veining. Four inlaid panels run vertically along each face—matte in finish and richly mottled, offering contrast to the smooth, polished surround. Stepped, faceted detailing at both the top and base echoes the column’s octagonal silhouette.
At just under 30 inches high, it’s scaled for versatility—as a column for sculpture or ceramics, or a sculptural accent on its own.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The pedestal is hollow and lightweight, yet structurally sound. Minor surface scratches and edge wear are present, consistent with age and use. Older repairs are visible upon close inspection but blend into the natural tonal variation of the stone and do not affect stability.
