A pair sculptural side tables or nightstands with cast brass frames and tiered pink marble tabletops. Attributed to Luciano Frigerio, Italy 1970s. Clearance between tiers 6.5" Sourced in Italy. Luciano Frigerio (1928–1999) was an Italian designer and master craftsman whose work is best understood as sculptural design rather than conventional furniture. He approached tables, cabinets, lighting, and seating as three-dimensional compositions, prioritizing mass, rhythm, and surface over typological norms. His pieces often read as inhabitable sculptures—monumental, tactile, and deliberately resistant to industrial repetition. A defining feature of Frigerio’s work was his extensive and expressive use of brass, frequently paired with rare woods, stone, and patinated metals. Brass elements were not merely decorative but structural and symbolic, used in bold planes, articulated joints, and architectural frames that emphasized weight and permanence.
