In this listing you will find a stunning vintage Afshar rug, handwoven, tribal Persian carpets originating from the semi-nomadic Afshar tribe. Afshar rugs are known for their distinct geometric patterns and striking use of deep reds and navy blues. feature predominantly geometric designs. Common motifs include one or more large diamond-shaped or hexagonal medallions, as well as repeating all-over patterns of boteh (paisley-like) figurines. The border usually consists of narrow bands with geometric or stylized floral patterns. Hand-woven in 100% natural dyed wool.
