Kilim’s Textural rug collection, featuring a sophisticated field of soft ivory and warm cream tones.
On the Design:
Our textural collection enjoys an inventive take on plain rugs, with this particular design enjoying luminous, gorgeous tones of creamy ivory, palest beige, and subtle champagne notes that give this long runner its airy, guiding beauty. The dominant horizontal striations naturally draw the eye forward, creating a visual flow reminiscent of soft, moving water or the refined grain of a polished wooden floor, lengthening and lighting any hallway or large space. Admirers of the craft will appreciate the subtle, but inventive approach to this striking, neutral, and warm piece with a comfortable presence and tone-on-tone striae—a movement our Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal likes to refer to as a “patternless take on pattern” in its powerful, organic sense of movement. It’s a versatile choice of cozy color and soft presence, and an elegant, yet comfortable high-end answer to solid rugs that’s cozy in any grand space; a whimsical, yet livable piece, and a luxurious choice among our most creative modern rugs.
Another bold new element of this line in our Textural Collection is that these rugs represent a revival of vegetable dyes in their material blends; an interesting and intricate revival of the time-honored craft. Vegetable dyeing is at the heart of countless weaving cultures and histories, known to yield some of the most deliciously saturated, quality colors and even, in many cases, natural sheens in yarns that lend a luxe, elegant play of the light to even the most neutral colors, as seen in this gorgeous new collection.
Designers will further note this extra-long runner rug can be sized into one or more smaller pieces. Its current size is also an ideal and versatile choice as a stair runner—those interested in sizing or custom installation shou
