Along the waterfront in Austin’s historic Rainey Street district, our design at 44 East Avenue transforms a whitebox apartment into an homage to the beauty of the natural world, and an ode to the virtuosity of local Texas craftsmanship. Completed on an expedited timeline of just three months, the 1,221 sq ft space features a series of astute design choices: textural lime-wash colored walls, materially expressive furnishings and decor — from custom-designed maple shelving units to spirited artworks — and a number of seamlessly integrated vintage and antique objects. At once a first-time residence and a relaxed, imaginative home that evokes a lived-in familiarity, 44 East Avenue brings our client’s creative proclivities to life through precise and highly personalized interiors.
