Gallatin House

Family Home de Workstead à NY, US

Built in the 1850’s, this early-American cottage is set between County Route 7, Sycamore Creek, and the Roeliff Jansen Kill in the rolling hills of Gallatin, NY. The home consists of a bright, open living room on the ground floor, as well as a small kitchen and dining room. On the upper floor, there are 2 cozy bedrooms, a den equipped with a daybed, and a full bath. Originally built as workmen’s lodging at an adjacent homestead, the house was restored with careful attention by the founding partner s of Workstead in 2018. Notable features are wide plank, light pine floors, period windows, and a custom kitchen featuring grooved painted wood paneling and hand-turned knobs. The cottage is an ideal retreat from city life, yet is close to many Hudson Valley towns.
