June Street
A complete residential restoration for longtime clients, June Street reinterprets Mediterranean Revival architecture with depth, intellect, and warmth. Every surface was considered — the work of years spent in dialogue, not decoration.
Historic detailing guided the design: plaster archways, hand-carved beams, and patterned tile restored with fidelity, then tempered by modern ease. The result honors its lineage while feeling distinctly alive.
Interiors move fluidly between control and exuberance. The dining room’s coffered ceiling and pale teal walls balance structure with softness. The tiled baths and kitchen become declarations of craft — lapis, terracotta, and jade forming a mosaic of color and memory. Moroccan geometry, Spanish ornament, and early California optimism merge into a single, expressive language.
Outdoors, the loggia and pool court extend the palette seamlessly. Terracotta walls, carved lanterns, and arched colonnades create a rhythm of shadow and sunlight, tying the architecture to the landscape.
Furnishings bridge eras: velvet and wood, modern art and Moorish motifs, refinement softened by touch and time. Nothing feels imposed — each piece, color, and texture a continuation of a long-standing conversation between designer and clients.
The June Street residence is both preservation and evolution — a study in how authenticity and imagination can coexist. Rooted in history yet attuned to the present, it embodies the quiet confidence of a home rebuilt with care, trust, and soul.
