About the Item
This impressive antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) salver has a circular shaped form.
The centre of the salver is embellished with an engraved chrysanthemum floral design.
The raised swept, plateaued border is ornamented with four exceptional pierced iconic Chinese dragons amidst clouds, incorporating a shaped vacant cartouche to either side.
The hallmarks to the underside of this impressive Chinese silver salver includes:
Maker's mark: WF (WING FAT, [mandarin YONG FA])
Silver quality/purity mark: 90 (90 standard, 900/1000)
Artisan workshop mark: HOU XIANG ([cantonese HAU COENG])
Condition
This antique Chinese silver salver is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in exceptional condition.
The Chinese hallmarks struck to the underside of the salver are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
