Royal House Antiques is delighted to offer for sale this highly collectable Chinese Circa 1930's extra large boxed Mahjong set with the original wood box including four racks, some hand typed instructions and a few dice and counters
A very nice suite, its made from bamboo, this has the largest box I have ever seen for Mahjong, its huge, it comes complete with some hand typed instructions from the early 1900's, four racks, a pile of chinese money, some extra counters and a couple of small dice, there is also a pair of tiny dice in the original wrapper, there can't be many of those left in the world!
All the pieces are there which is 144 main tiles plus 8 blanks, its four complete sets of everything I think from memory, I've personally removed them and put it all back in order after having the case cleaned waxed and polished
The condition is very good for the age, I can’t fault it, there may be age and use related patina marks here and there, honestly I can't see any issues
