Estimate packing size: 35×60×15㎝ 4kg
This is an antique Japanese indigo-dyed cloth.
It is thought to have been used as a furoshiki (wrapping cloth) for wrapping things.
The indigo-dyed colours are beautiful, and as material scarcity was a time when it was spun and used with great care.
The repair marks are also fascinating.
The white areas represent areas where the dye has worn off or remained undyed, creating a beautiful scene.
There are no large holes, but there are small holes from repairs, etc.
Please note that it is an old item.
It looks beautiful when hung on the wall, and would also make a great tapestry.
