About the Item

This celadon vase features a gently rounded shoulder, a tall, slender neck, and a broad, flaring rim. Two small loop handles are applied to the shoulders. The body is finely incised with continuous lotus-scroll motifs executed in graceful, flowing lines. The translucent bluish-green glaze, with a subtle olive tone, reveals natural crackle and slight discoloration from burial oxidation where the vessel came into contact with the soil. Overall, this piece represents the refined essence of celadon ware from the 10th to 12th centuries, harmoniously combining balanced proportions, depth of glaze, and restrained decorative beauty to convey a sense of quiet elegance and dignity.
