About the Item
This is an old Japanese brazier.
It is made of zelkova wood and is thought to date back to the Meiji period.
It features the strong grain of zelkova wood and sides that appear to have been randomly carved.
Its appearance is reminiscent of Japanese folk art.
The copper inside has turned a beautiful green, creating an artistic patina.
It can be used as a flowerpot, and of course it is beautiful just as it is as an object.
