About the Item
This is a Nagoya obi made in Japan around 1980s.

A Nagoya obi is a traditional Japanese women’s sash for kimono, designed with one end folded and sewn narrower to make it easier to wrap and tie. It is lighter and more practical than a formal obi, commonly used for everyday or semi-formal wear.
Shibori fabric is a traditional Japanese textile made by binding, folding, or twisting the cloth before dyeing to create distinctive, textured patterns. Each piece is unique due to the handcrafting process.
