About the Item

Pair of 15th Century (or earlier) Encrusted ceramic vessels from Fujian encrusted by the Sea air. SOLD SEPARATELY Period of Southern Song to Yuan Dynasty. The ceramic vessels were created primarily as utilitarian domestic wares and everyday table top pieces as for storage for regional trade and or export. In many cases, the vessels were stored on ships carrying spices in the open air which could explain the crustation. Measures: 10.25" H x 3.75" W x 1" diameter (of opening) and 7.5" H x 3.25 W x 1" diameter (of opening).
