Satsuma earthenware vase the baluster-shaped body painted in enamels and gilt with two panels, one depicting numerous immortals with raised gilt in terraced garden setting, the other showing a group of women with attendants, the panels separated by a design of flower scrolls interspersed with large flower heads, the shoulder and foot decorated with a brocade-style design on a royal blue glaze, the base signed. Height 5 in. (12.7 cm.) Width 2.5 in. (6.35 cm.)
