About the Item

Two-thousand-year old Han frog drum. Rare to find in such complete condition- usually only found in fragmentary condition. Museum piece. Stands 15 inches tall, top diameter is 26 inches. The one close example I can find was up at a Christie's auction in Amsterdam which was being sold with a miniature example as well. The two drums had a pre-auction estimate of 50,000 gilders for the pair in the 1980s.
