About the Item
This is a hand painted blue and white Chinese porcelain plate, dating to the second half of the 18th century, circa 1770, the Qing Qianlong dynasty.
This very good condition of this plate makes it special as it has NO Cracks and NO Hairline cracks.
The plate is well potted, and has been hand decorated in a free flowing manner in varying shades of cobalt 'steel' blue. The glaze is thin and glassy with a lovely bluish tinge.
The decoration shows a central well which has three floral sprigs, the main one having a large flower, all set within a wavy double line having six knots. The outer rim is decorated with six small floral sprigs set within a diaper border.
The foot rim is neatly trimmed and the plate is in very good condition for its age.
Overall a lovely 18th C , Qing Qianlong period, Chinese blue and white Plate with NO Cracks NO Hairlines and NO Restoration.

This is a good Chinese porcelain circular Platter or large plate, made for the export (Canton) market, during the middle of the 18th century, Qing-Qianlong period.
The plate is well hand decorated with much detail in varying shades of cobalt blue, with a glaze of a very soft light blue shade.
The plate has a central hand-painted pattern of bamboo and other flowers issuing from a rocky base with a fence, all within a geometric inner border. The inner rim also has a continuous decorated border design with three sections.
