18th century porcelain cup, Qianlong period (1735-1796) of the Qing Dynasty.
This elegant cup has a nearly iridescent cafe au lait (light brown) exterior glaze and blue and white interior decorated with ribbons and flowers, making a delightful contrast. The flowers, which appear to be chrysanthemums, go around horizontally, shooting up from two vases festooned with ribbons, while a single blossom rests at the bottom of the cup.
