About the Item

A fine 18th century Chinese Export porcelain teapot. Decorated throughout with flowers floral sprays en grisaille and with red, turquoise, and gilt embellishments. The pot with a make-do silver spout replacement and the lid with a silver mount. Simply a wonderful piece of antique Chinese porcelain! Date: 18th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: With a re-secured crack to the lid, chip to the rim of the pot, crazing or a star crack to the base of the pot, and the underside of the lid's silver mount is slightly out of round. Otherwise, there are some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Measurements: Height: ca. 5 1/2 in. Length: ca. 7 3/4 in. Width: ca. 4 1/2 in.
