About the Item

Exceptional example of a 19th century Chinese wine jar. Hand thrown with a hand painted glaze ranging from cerulean to indigo tones of blue. Exterior is bright and beautiful. Interior still has a light lining of sediment from the antique wine that has thoroughly dried. Beautiful shapely piece with high shoulders that taper down towards the base. Exceptionally beautiful piece. 9.5" tall 7.5" across
