About the Item

In this listing you will find a Chinese Longquan celadon octagonal vase (or jar, also known as meiping) from the Yuan or early Ming dynasty, likely dating to the 14th or 15th century. The vase is covered in a crackle-glazed, sea-green celadon glaze. Celadon glazes were developed in China and prized for their jade-like appearance. It features applied, unglazed panels (known as "biscuit-reserved" or biscuit in the firing) which have fired to a contrasting rust or terracotta brown color. The vase is in good condition. When purchased the vase will be carefully wrapped up and packed in a way to avoid any damages in transport. As soon as shipped you will receive the tracking number for your package. If you have any additional questions regarding this piece please feel free to contact me. Happy shopping!
