About the Item
A fine antique Chinese porcelain vase.
In a mallet or handbell shaped form (摇铃尊, yaolingzun) and decorated with a lovely aubergine or eggplant colored glaze throughout.
The glaze thins and becomes a bit lighter shade as the nears the top rim.
Drilled to the base (from previous mounting as a lamp).
This would make a lovely lamp again if a collector were so inclined.
Simply a wonderful Chinese vase!

It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition.
Condition Details:
The base was drilled as a lamp. There are multiple chips to the vase's footrim (though none compromise its ability to stand), some noticeable scratches in the glaze, a few spost of fritting to the rim, some other fine
light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
