About the Item

A fine antique Chinese Export porcelain plate. Decorated in a famille verte variant centered on a cartouche with center on the He-He Er Xian (or Hehe twins) among the lotus flowers. The Hehe twins are Taoist/Daoist in origin and are known as the Two Gods or Immortals of Harmony and Union. The border with an inner green and grey band bordered by a wide band with scrolls, red cells, and stylized lotus flowers. Simply a rare and wonderful Chinese porcelain plate! Date: Late 18th or Early 19th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: We note 2 hairline cracks and a small chip to the rim. Otherwise, there is some wear to the painted decoration, some fine light glaze scratches, some with some fine light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Apparently unmarked. Measurements: Diameter: ca. 9 1/2 in. Height: ca. 3/4 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
