About the Item

Beautiful antique Brown glazed Jar from Singburi central Thailand,17 th Century, warm and exquisite patina and shine of the terracotta. Large stoneware vase, the body is grey or red, the mouth is small with thick lips and there is virtually no neck, covered with a lack-lustre brown glaze. The 4 handles are thick loops, their ends pressed flat onto the body, used for storage, exported as containers for honey and oil many of them were found in the sea
