About the Item

With its graceful silhouette and warm, crème coloring, this earthenware vase from the late 19th century embodies the elegance and refinement of Chinese monochrome ceramics. The vase is potted with high shoulders, a narrowed neck and gently tapered sides, a form typical of vessels used for storing rice wine and spirits. The jar is cloaked in a crème-white slip reminiscent of Song-dynasty juluxian ware and finished with a crackled translucent glaze. Additional Dimensions: Diameter of Opening: 3.25"
