About the Item
Dingyao porcelain, often called Ding ware, is famous for its creamy-white coloring, refined forms, and low-relief surface patterning. Ding ware was produced in the kilns of Hebei province since the Song dynasty (690 to 1279) and is characterized by light stoneware and glassy, ivory glazes. This Dingyao vase is molded in two halves with a key fret border, decorated with delicate lotus and scrolling vine motifs in low relief.
